Our guided ice fishing operations started December 26 and we ended March 13.   Ice fishing was great, except for a few days when bad weather kept us from our preferred spots.  Guides Tim and Mike found active perch schools throughout the season.

We had over 80 inches of snow for the season, much of it in April.

Open Water Guests

Our normal ice out on the main body of Leech Lake is April 25.   This spring our protected harbor did not open until May 3 and the official Leech Lake "Ice Out" was Tuesday evening May 13.

For the May 10 fishing opener, Brindley's was fortunate since the large floating ice jambs on Traders Bay and the main basin were blown to the south east corners.

Water levels are about 6 inches below normal levels.  Water temperatures are in the mid 70 ies.
