Winter Guests

We have had only dustings of snow with about 4 inches of accumulation. Ice depth on Traders Bay is from 12 to 20 inches. Ice depths vary considerably - Caution.

Anglers: Guides Tim, Mike and Greg do a great job finding active schools of perch for our guided ice fishing guests. We expect to start our 2011/2012 guided fishing operation about December 26 and will end it March 17.

Snowmobilers: For 2012 we added a large new luxury log home complex with 10 bedrooms and 10 baths.
Great for large groups. Unfortunately no snow yet.

Open Water Guests
Last years official Leech Lake "Ice Out" was April 6. Among the earliest in recorded history.
This year the ice out date was May 1. The average ice out is April 27.

Water levels are now about 10 inches below seasonal norms.
